Google is by far the leader in the industry, but I wonder for how long.... 02/04/2009I currently don’t work for Google, but use just about any and all services supplied to me online. I use Gmail, Google Talk, Analytics, and just about everything else I can find. They are the best by far. Here is my reasoning. When Microsoft puts out a new product or service, my personal opinion is that there are just too many hands in the pot. Everyone seems to have a say and want to put in their two cents. This causes delays in development, over spending on the budget, and so much more. With Google, there are just a few people on each project. This makes ideas simple to work through, fast for development, and always within budget. With companies like MSN and Yahoo, it’s more of a, should we do it, can we do it, how do we do it, how do we make money off it, and how do we market it. But with Google, it’s more of a lets do it because our users can use it and it’s the right thing to do for the customer. With this basic idea, they continue to build and build and grow and grow. And oddly enough, the money that they make is really just a byproduct of them going the extra mile for their clients. This is what makes Google so special.
