Good old Macy’s wasn't even that good back when it was the Bon March.... 01/31/2009I hated working at Macys. The disrespect from upper management treating you like you are a child, the extremely low pay for the crazy work load, even when you come up with an amazing idea but you are then told, well this is how we do it because this is how Nordstoms does it. You have got to be kidding me. Just to do something because another company does it doesn't make it the right thing to do. Clothes always seem to be on sale but I guess that is just a cheap way to move your product. Try offering a high quality product and great service at a reasonable price. At Macys I just felt like I was always gouging my customers no matter what they bought. It just felt kinda dishonest. Anyways, the pay to me seemed a little low, even for retail, the management really doesn't seem to know what they are doing or talking about for that matter, and no one really cares about the cleanliness of the store. Come on people, this is Macy's, pick up the unfolded cloths off the floor and fold them back up. Back rooms are always very disorganized, training is terrible, and did I happen to mention that the management at Macys really doesn’t seem to know what they are doing.
