Has Washington Mutual redeemed it self. Just maybe it has. 02/05/2009I have had an account with Washington Mutual now for over 10 years. And in the past I have always loved it. Best bank ever. But lately over the last 3 to 4 months, I have been really really disappointed. Poor service, people don’t know what they are talking about, and when calling in, I never get an English first language customer service rep. Not that the person from India isn’t taking care of me, but I just prefer the none communication barrier with someone who speaks a little bit better English. Please no offence. But today Washington Mutual redeemed it self by crediting me back a mischarge. I am very pleased. Very simply, I made a mistake with my transferring of funds and accidentally over drew my account. This cost me I think $22 bucks, give or take. But with a very simple phone call and some good customer service, Washington Mutual credited me back. I honestly did not expect this to happen with my experiences over the last few months. But I do have to say that this was a good step forward and I am really happen with my experience today.
